Marina di Casal Velino is a small seaside village whose origins are really ancient. The place was one of the hoarbours of the ancient city of Elea-Velia, and it was important for trade.

With its 7 km long beach, Marina di Casal Velino is one of the most characteristic centers around the Cilento.

The ruins of Velia

The excavations, close to the railway and not so far from Ascea Marina, are daily open. The ruins of the ancient city are the harbour area, the Marine door, the pink door, Hellenistic and Roman baths, the Agorà, the Acropolis, the Southern District.

Being the very few guests coming from abroad we were enchanted by the warm welcome made in Cilento from the staff and the director Enzo. We enjoyed the entertainment, the sport activity, the availability of the staff, the fun assured by Enzo and Antonio as well as the massages from Antonietta. We were there with a group of 26 family members and couldn’t be more spoiled. This is a club that , despite the outdated building style, will make everybody happy: from the juniors to the seniors.
